Starting a Successful Food Business in Kinsale

Free Webinar - 2nd November 6 - 7pm

Join us for an hour of discussion around setting up a successful food business in Kinsale.

Our 3 panelists will share their journeys so far and chat about the highs and lows of being an entrepreneur in the food products sector.

Helen O Dowd, Virginia Health Food

Food Scientist Helen O'Dowd started this business over 20 years ago. It is catering for a growing demand in the UK, Ireland, and Europe for shelled hemp seeds, milled flax seeds (linseed) and crushed pumpkin and sunflower seeds.

Colum O'Sullivan (Sully), Cully & Sully

Sully dragged himself out of Musgrave Cash and Carry at the end of 2003 and kicked off (with Cully) what became a really successful soul and pie business. In this session he will share things he has never before spoken about...possibly.

Sabrina Levis Morley, The Gourmet Pantry

Sabrina Levis Morley has been a chef for the past 23 years and is a mother of twins. After many years travelling and working in Australia, Sabrina opened the Gourmet Pantry deli store in Kinsale in 2017 with her business partner Padraig O’Sullivan. In 2019 they expanded, opening a production kitchen in Riverstick. In addition to the deli, the Gourmet Pantry produces ready meals, offers catering services and now has a team of 17 people.

The hour long session will be hosted by Keith Bohanna who has been passionate about small-scale food production since his early 20's and is still a food activist.

Tickets are free and you can book them here.
